Saint Basil’s Cathedral on Red Square
With its colorful onion domes, Saint Basil’s Cathedral stands at the southern end of Red Square. Its location makes it one of the most distinctive landmarks in the historic center. It can be visited as part of a walk around Red Square.
Cathedral of Christ the Saviour
The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, on the banks of the Moskva River, is an important church in central Moscow. It was built in the 19th century, destroyed in 1931, and rebuilt after the end of the Soviet Union.
