In one of the most beautiful and exceptionally romantic places in Moscow, Moscow State University Botanical Garden began "Lilac Seasons" - exciting themed tours to wonderful avenues of lilac trees.

Moscow Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful places in the Russian capital and is a true paradise in the heart of the vast metropolis, where are located unique collections of plants. Since mid-May until the second decade of June there will be organized amazing, fragrant Purple seasons - tours along lilac lanes. For the convenience of visitors and reduce the damage caused to the plants here is prohibited independent walks and are held many exciting, romantic and educational excursions.

Lilac seasons are one of the most beautiful periods in the Botanical Garden. The unique lilac collection of the Botanical Garden of the Moscow State University has such amazing beauty instances as Monique Lenoine, Paul Hariot, Reaumur, Excellent, Pasteur, Ami Schott, Lavoisier and others. Thanks to the fantastic material and the high professionalism of staff of the Botanical Garden, tours in Lilac season will not only give you aesthetic pleasure, but also professional knowledge on lilac breeding.

In addition to the wonderful lilac seasons in the Botanical Garden of the Moscow State University has also started themed tours "Songbirds" (it will continue until the third decade of June). Until mid-September for visitors of thematic tours would be opened an area for displaying decoration techniques. After the Lilac seasons, the Botanical Garden will offer visitors special tours "Peony" and "Irises" (2 and 3 decade of June), "Roses" (July), "Phloxes (2 and 3 decade of July and 1 decade of August), "Arboretum" (September and October) and the "Orchard" (3 decade of August, 1 and 2 decade of September).

Visitors of the Botanical Garden for the first time can make a fascinating and romantic sightseeing tour, enjoy the beauty of such the pearls of the Botanical Garden as an alpine garden, arboretum and lilac garden and see a unique collection of ornamental plants.

Themed tours are usually held on a small section of Botanic Garden with determined exposure and collection that can not only give great pleasure from the contemplation of beauty of lilacs, peonies, roses and irises, but also time to in-depth study of a variety of crops, including medicinal plants, meet with the peculiarities of growing orchard and learn details of cultivation of wild and cultivated plants for landscaping.

This tour costs 150 rubles. Students, pensioners and schoolchildren can buy tickets with a discount. Visitor are gathered at the garden’s gate in front of MSU, on the Khokhlov Street.
